Bio:
A workingman’s musician with a thorough grasp of his craft, Ted Russell Kamp, longtime bassist for Shooter Jennings, is a solo artist and songwriter of note. His new CD, Get Back To The Land, was just released in Europe and debuted at #1 on the Euroamericana Chart. His most more recent releases, the widely praised Poor Man’s Paradise, was in the top 75 Americana CDs for 2009, and Divisadero (2007), was named one of the Top 40 Americana CDs of it’s year.
Ted’s music is a juicy gumbo of country, Southern-fried rock and soul in the style of his lifelong inspirations J.J. Cale, The Band, and Kris Kristofferson. Aside from touring the US and Europe with Shooter and on his own, he has also been a producer working with Shy Blakeman and the 29 Mules most recently.
